WORD OF WISDOM ON

INTERNATIONAL WOMENS DAY

BY HIS HOLINESS ACHARYA SHRI MAHAPRAGYA

I don't see any difference in males and females. In my view there is not a single male without female characteristics and vice versa. Even nature has designed us humans with both characteristics. When the female part within us gets stronger we become complete female and same is the case with the male completeness.

Yog Acharyas have bisected human body into two with the right part being male dominant known as PINGALA and left part being female dominant namely IDA. Today when we refer to equality, a woman is no less than any man in any aspect and probably that is why even government departments don't differentiate between them. Apart from being a teacher, a doctor, a clerk, a stenographer and nurse, today a woman is marching head held high in the armed forces of the country too. Beyond these accomplishments, I think, a woman best portrays a mother than any other role.

Love and affection are two such characteristics of a woman, which add meaning to their existence. A child is way more closely attached to his/her mother than he/she is to the father and hence, it becomes even more important for the mother to inculcate and develop morals in the child. It is a universally accepted fact that it's the mother's duty to imbibe moral values in a child and a mother's motherhood is appraisable only then.

It's expected of a woman today to empower her motherhood knowing the importance of it. An empowered motherhood becomes the foundation stone of a developed and successful nation, and on International Women's Day it becomes even more necessary to spread the cause.
